South Africans will head to the polls this year for local government elections amid a global pandemic.

The Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) on Tuesday briefed the Portfolio Committee on Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs on its preparations for the elections, shedding some light on what South Africans can expect.
