Gauteng woman who sued McDonald's after slipping on 'wet' floor loses case

A Gauteng woman, who slipped and fell at a McDonald's at the Wingtip Crossing Shopping Centre in Montana, Pretoria, lost a bid to hold the restaurant liable for the incident.

In June 2019, Mandie Lombard was at McDonald's to order food, but when she went outside, she slipped on the "wet" tiled exit ramp.

According to a recent Gauteng High Court judgment, three pupils saw Lombard fall and, because she could not get up, they went into the restaurant and called for help.
