Water woes in Johannesburg has now spread to Ekurhuleni and Tshwane as reservoirs run dry.

In the wake of the heatwave which the SA Weather Service says will last until Friday, bulk-water supplier Rand Water has implemented stage 2 water restrictions in the three biggest metros in the province. 

Johannesburg’s new executive mayor Dada Morero, just days after his tumultuous election on Friday, spent Wednesday holed up with the Johannesburg Water director Ntshavheni Mukwevho.
