An Eastern Cape man who has been breeding pit bulls for a decade says he will not part with his beloved dogs.

Mziyanda Hlekiso, who is also the chairperson of the EFF in the Buffalo City Metro, was speaking amid widespread public alarm over the danger of keeping pit bulls domestically.

Some sectors of society are also calling for stronger regulations with regards to the keeping and breeding of these animals.
