Senior Limpopo prosecutor Trott Mphahlele has poured out his heart, explaining why he broke down in court this week during the trial of the man accused of killing student Precious Ramabulana.

"I've conducted horrible cases in the past. I've seen decomposing bodies and some with stab [wounds]," he said

But it was the first time he had seen such an "amount of blood" on the floor in the pictures of the scene of Ramabulana's murder, he said.
