"General arrogance", "petty jealousy" and even racism were not off the cards in the tense exchanges between advocate Dali Mpofu and minister Pravin Gordhan at the Zondo commission on Monday.

Mpofu was cross-examining Gordhan on behalf of former South African Revenue Service (Sars) boss Tom Moyane over claims made by Gordhan on Moyane's alleged role in the state capture project.
