"Jy gaan kak [you will shit]" was the ominous warning to former Robben Island prisoner Robbie Wilcox when Security Branch policeman Johannes "Spyker" van Wyk walked up to him after he was arrested on terrorism charges in Cape Town in 1971.
Hauled in on charges of terrorism for pamphleteering and resisting apartheid through the African Peoples Democratic Union of SA, Wilcox still remembers the brutality he was subjected to.
"Spyker said I must tell him everything," said Wilcox. "He said: 'Jy gaan kak'. Excuse me," he added for the benefit of inquest Judge Daniel Thulare.
