Singer Kelly Khumalo has hired an attorney to conduct a watching brief during the trial of the five men accused of murdering her boyfriend and father of her child, Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa.
As the trial was set to start in the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria on Monday, lawyer Magdalene Moonsamy was one of three lawyers who placed themselves on record before Judge Tshifhiwa Maumela. She told the court that she was representing Khumalo.
Khumalo, who was one of the six people who were in the house when Meyiwa was killed, is expected to be a witness in the case. Moonsamy would observe the case to protect Khumalo's rights and best interests.
