With seemingly little or no separation between church and business, it's now emerged that workers at the KwaSizabantu Mission and its affiliate entities may not have been immune to the controversial practices of the mission alleged by former members, with workers detailing claims of arbitrary dismissals, codes of conduct that overstep the spirit and laws of the Labour Relations Act, low wages and being forced to confess "their sins".

Workers - former and current - who spoke to News24 said there was no separation between KwaSizabantu and its affiliated businesses aQuellé (owned by Ekhamanzi Springs) and Emseni Farming.
