Repairs to pipelines and pump stations destroyed by deadly floodwaters may take a month to fix, as thousands of Durban residents queue for water at burst pipes and tankers across the city.
This is according to Gundo Maswime, a public infrastructure lecturer at the University of Cape Town. Maswime told News24 on Tuesday that having the eThekwini metro's water infrastructure repaired in a month was the best-case scenario.
