
Cape Town - Suspended Western Cape provincial police commissioner Arno Lamoer and five others are due to appear in the Western Cape High Court for a pre-trial conference on Friday.
The six men are all facing charges related to corruption, racketeering and money laundering involving approximately R1.6 million.
Lamoer, three senior officers, Cape Town businessman Mohamed Saleem Dawjee, and his son Zameer, are facing 109 charges.
Lamoer, Brigadier Kolindren Govender, his wife Sharon and Darius van der Ross allegedly received cash and expensive gifts from Dawjee in exchange for special treatment.
