The chasm between the ANC and EFF on the amendment to Section 25 of the Constitution appears bigger than ever after President Cyril Ramaphosa dismissed state custodianship of all land.

Without the EFF's votes, the amendment will not pass in the National Assembly, and at this stage, it seems a strong likelihood.

However, the parties have two months to "find each other" on the proposed amendment of Section 25 of the Constitution.
