The three men on trial for the murder of Pete Mihalik ended up making the blue light trip to a court in vain on Thursday from their custodial cells as the matter was postponed to next week.
The courtroom was set up for the screening of long-awaited CCTV and other imagery collected by the State as the case progressed from the first witnesses' accounts of the murder on 30 October 2018, to footage collected when detectives went on the hunt for the killers.
Vuyile Maliti, Sinozokohle Biyela, and Nkosinathi Khumalo were arrested in connection with the murder. They each face one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder, illegal possession of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition.
