The Legal Resource Centre (LRC) has joined the fight against "vaccine apartheid" to ensure vaccines are distributed fairly to everyone around the globe.

The advocacy group has joined global efforts to petition the UN as concerns mount over the global distribution of vaccines and how poorer countries could be last in line to get the jab.

The LRC's Priyanka Naidoo said the inequitable distribution and inoculation rates for Covid-19 vaccines were a huge concern for civil society not only in South Africa, but around the world.
