The Labour Court has dismissed the Limpopo government's bid to force employees to repay money it paid to them over several months as salary progression.

The provincial government approached the court after it failed to correctly interpret a Department of Public Service and Administration directive on accelerated pay progression for deserving civil servants with effect from 1 July 2012.
