
Limpopo police have launched a manhunt for a motorist who killed a seven-year-old girl in a hit-and-run car accident.
The child was killed on Thursday at around 07:00 on the R71 road, near Majeje bridge in the Namakgale area, said police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mamphaswa Seabi.
Seabi said:
Police officers and emergency workers were called to the scene, and on their arrival, they found the child dead on the scene.

The child has been identified as Precious Kgaugelo Moshato.
"The police have opened a case of culpable homicide. Anyone with information that can assist the police in arresting the suspect should contact the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Mkhawane, at 079 979 6391," said Seabi.
The police investigation was ongoing, added Seabi.
