South Africa's Consul-General in Los Angeles is yet to receive a police report on the killing of KwaZulu-Natal-born Lindani Myeni in Hawaii, more than a month after he died at the hands of police.
The Department of International Relations and Cooperation (Dirco) conveyed its concerns to the US Embassy in Pretoria about the lack of a comprehensive report on the circumstances that led to Myeni's death.
International Relations and Cooperation Minister Naledi Pandor also expressed concern about the utterances of Honolulu mayor that the police had acted correctly.
