Western Cape police have opened a case after about 600 anti-vaxxers took to the street in Sea Point in an illegal protest against vaccinations.
The case relates to alleged contraventions of lockdown rules.
The protest took place at the Sea Point swimming pool on Saturday.
In videos shared on social media, scores of unmasked people are seen carrying placards, calling for no vaccinations. There was also little to no physical distancing.
Western Cape police spokesperson Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi said no arrests were made.
"The protesters were peaceful, and we confirm no damages or injuries were reported as Sea Point police monitored the movement of protesters. A case docket will be opened as the march was illegal," Swartbooi said.
In August, News24 reported on a similar protest against vaccinations, outside Groote Schuur Hospital, and another such march was held in Sea Point in July.
