Deputy President David Mabuza shot down the idea of establishing an investigative and prosecutorial entity, like the erstwhile Scorpions, in a question and answer session in which he seemed to suggest that bad parenting is the cause of corruption.
Mabuza answered questions in the National Assembly on Thursday and, in what has become a rarity in the time of hybrid sittings, appeared in person in the Good Hope Chamber.
IFP MP Zandile Majozi asked what he found to be the root causes of problems in local government.
