A Cape Town man was found dead in his home on Sunday night, with his hands and feet tied, in what appears to be a robbery.

Western Cape police spokesperson Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana said police found the man bound inside the house in General Hendrick Schoeman Street in Welgelegen, Parow.

It is believed the man was attacked sometime between 21:00 and 22:00.

"He had stab wounds to his body and he was declared dead on the scene. The circumstances surrounding this incident are under investigation, with no arrests at this stage," Rwexana said.

The victim was 58 years old.

Police are investigating cases of murder, house robbery and theft of a vehicle, she said.
