Manenberg cat lovers breathe sigh of relief as no reported feline killings in past 30 days

Manenberg residents have been breathing a sigh of relief after more than a month has passed with no cats from the area being killed, disembowelled and dumped on people's properties. 

A suspect was taken in for questioning in August, but was subsequently released due to a lack of evidence against him.

Manenberg police spokesperson Captain Ian Bennett said there had not been any recent reporting of cat killings in the area.
