The party has also revealed that on 16 December military veterans will be celebrating the 60th anniversary of the party's military wing Mkhonto we Sizwe (MK).

However, before the political glitz and glamour, a conference is expected to bring the two warring factions - the Mkhonto we Sizwe Military Veterans' Association (MKMVA) and the MK National Council - together to elect a united leadership of the ex-combatants.
