The Section 194 Committee did not budge in the face of the threat of another court battle and decided to continue with its work - Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane's impeachment.

Mkhwebane can, however, bank on the support of the EFF and ATM, which insisted the committee should wait for the court processes to run its course before it proceeded with her impeachment.

The committee was scheduled to meet on Tuesday. Like its previous meeting, it received a letter from Mkhwebane's camp before its meeting.
