A Mpumalanga man who reported a deadly car accident that happened 56 years ago to the police on Wednesday, said he opened the case because the incident which claimed lives of nine fellow schoolchildren haunts him to this day. 

The retired school principal Sydney Tabane, 74, is one of 27 former Nkotolane Primary School pupils who were disembarking from a lorry when a speeding bakkie plunged into them, killing nine instantly and injuring 18.
