Nine-year-old Miguel Louw was an innocent, humble boy who loved animals, spending time with his close family members and sharing secrets with his sister Mikayla.

He particularly cared for puppies and hoped that one day he would turn his love for animals into a veterinary career. But his life was cut short.

In September 2018, his badly decomposed body was found in a bushy pathway in Phoenix, Durban, a short distance away from the home of Mohammed Vahed Ebrahim - the man who was found guilty of his murder.
