New ANC MPs give Ramaphosa greenlight to reshuffle Cabinet before SONA 2023

The swearing-in of new MPs next week paves the way for President Cyril Ramaphosa to reshuffle his Cabinet and appoint ANC deputy president Paul Mashatile as his second-in-command.

On Friday afternoon, Parliament's presiding officers announced new MPs would be sworn in on Monday.

Hours before the release of the statement, another two MPs in the ANC's caucus resigned, but a cloud of secrecy still hangs over who exactly will replace them.
