Nurses in South Africa take up the healthcare profession, in full view and understanding of what they will face at hospitals and clinics, but they could never have imagined the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Although they were terrified of contracting the deadly virus, they had to leave their homes every day throughout the lockdown, with the aim of saving lives at healthcare facilities.
