'Our schools are sitting ducks' says Lesufi after teacher shot dead outside school

Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi has pleaded with law enforcement to assist in keeping schools safe, saying more than 80% of the department's budget goes to teachers' salaries, and they can not afford security. 

Lesufi spoke after visiting Phomolong Secondary School, where deputy principal Thembisile Ngendane was shot dead outside the school on Friday.
