Parents who have experienced the loss of a pregnancy now have the right to bury the foetus if they wish to.  

This is in line with a court judgment declaring previous laws - denying the issue of a burial order unless a "still birth" is declared - as unconstitutional and in need of change.  

The Gauteng High Court in Pretoria order dated 26 March, instructs a range of changes to laws relating to pregnancy loss before 26 weeks, the period which covers a "still birth" and the right to bury a foetus.
