Pit bull attacks: Now EFF and Cosatu back calls for ban as saga continues

Cosatu and the Economic Freedom Fighters have added their voices to have pit bulls banned as domestic pets following a spate of reports of children and adults being mauled to death.  

Cosatu said it was concerned by the number of people who are being mauled by pit bulls and in several incidents even killed. 

The trade union federation said the attacks were becoming a problem that needed the government's urgent attention.
