Police urge KZN victims of robbery captured on camera to come forward

accreditation

Durban – Police have called on the victims of a robbery in Asherville to report the crime, which was filmed, so it can be investigated.

A video surfaced on Thursday showing a Silver Honda Jazz being ambushed as it drove onto the premises of a home on Dunnottar Avenue.

In the video, a man clad in overalls initially appears to be watching the home waiting for the driver to return home.

Once he notices the car approaching, he subtly signals more accomplices who go into the home and rob the driver.

No case was opened with police.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Thulani Zwane on Friday said: "We hope these victims come forward. Once they open a case we will begin an investigation."

He urged the public to be cautious and observant during the winter months.
