Pretoria's efforts to deepen relations with Washington will be in the spotlight on Monday when International Relations and Cooperation Minister Naledi Pandor will meet US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

The meeting is expected to take stock of South Africa’s bilateral cooperation with the United States, focusing on trade and investment between the two countries.

Dirco spokesperson Clayson Monyela said in a statement that Blinken would also use the opportunity to announce the US government’s new Africa Strategy in a public address.
