Pupils at Charles Sabelo High School in Umbumbulu, Durban, are up in arms after several teachers, including the principal, allegedly struck matriculants with pipes for failing to attend Saturday classes.

News24 can reveal several matriculants were allegedly hit with pipes, including two pregnant girls.

Pupils claimed while pipe beatings were not a common occurrence at the school, it did occur from time to time.
