In 2016, Jeremiah and his wife Maggie Jacobs searched for over a week for their missing 16-year-old son.
The emotional search mission ended in despair when Justin’s body was removed from 18 metres under the water at the Witherow Dam Quarry in Heidedal, Bloemfontein.
Justin went missing on his way back from school in early February 2016. Jeremiah and Maggie went door to door searching for him. Almost a week later, his friends who were with him on the day of his disappearance informed the family that he had drowned at the notorious quarry.
