Parliament has to stop being "taken for a ride" by the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure, and participate in what is happening on the parliamentary precinct on behalf of MPs, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Thandi Modise, said.

The Joint Standing Committee on the  Financial Management of Parliament were on Friday briefed by the department on infrastructure projects on the parliamentary precinct and in the accommodation villages for MPs.
