President Cyril Ramaphosa's Cabinet reshuffle will have a significant impact on Parliament most notably due to the departure of speaker Thandi Modise who managed to get it back on track, albeit still far from the end destination.

At this stage, it remains unclear who will take over the wheel from Modise, with no clear indication in this regard emerging from a tight-lipped ANC caucus.

However, what is certain is that Deputy National Assembly Speaker Lechesa Tsenoli will act as speaker until a new one is elected.
