Polokwane – The headless body of a middle-aged woman from Lulekani, outside Phalaborwa, was found in her bedroom on Monday in what police suspect may be a ritual killing.

Family members found the woman's body in the early hours of the morning, according to police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe.

"The motive behind this incident is still unknown, but ritual killing may not be ruled out," said Ngoepe.
