South African soldiers deployed to secure the Beitbridge border are allowing starving Zimbabweans to illegally cross the border to buy food and get medical supplies.

At first, Defence and Military Veterans Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula was frustrated at the soldiers who were illegally escorting Zimbabweans over the Beitbridge border to buy food.
