SCA questions whether Seth Nthai is genuinely remorseful

The Supreme Court of Appeal (SCA) has raised serious questions about whether advocate Seth Nthai – who admitted to repeatedly trying to solicit a R5 million bribe while acting for the government – had genuinely acknowledged the wrongfulness of his attempted corruption or avoided doing so because he feared prosecution.

Nthai was disbarred after being recorded on five different occasions trying to solicit a bribe from Italian businesses locked in a mining rights dispute with the SA government.
