A search operation has been launched to find a 69-year old man, who has been missing for two days, in the Silvermine Dam area in Cape Town.
Table Mountain National Park (TMNP) said Silvermine Dam will be closed until further notice.
"The Silvermine Dam in the Central Section of TMNP is currently closed to the public until further notice, following a search operation for a 69-year-old male regular hiker, who went missing on Sunday, 21 March 2021," it said.
"The SAPS Diving Unit, Metro Rescue Unit, TMNP Rangers and Working on Fire are currently conducting a search operation in and around Silvermine. The teams have been unsuccessful thus far and will continue with the search, extending to other areas of the park too."
