One of the defence teams in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial not only asked for the removal of a documentary maker from the court, but also requested that its assets be seized and that the money it makes from a Netflix documentary on Meyiwa be forfeited to the state.
Before the trial got under way last Monday, the State and defence teams met behind closed doors in Judge Tshifhiwa Maumela's chambers.
News24 previously reported that the meeting was held to discuss an application the State lodged to object to a specific line of questioning during the cross-examination of the State's first witness. It wanted the answers to the questions to be struck from the record.
