The ANC in the North West on Tuesday confirmed that three councillors, who secretly voted for the EFF's Olebogeng Mogorosi as speaker of the Mamusa municipality, had been identified.

Disciplinary proceedings were set to start as soon as the provincial ANC received reports from the affected region's leadership.

The party's provincial structure was also expecting a report from the Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati district municipality, where some ANC councillors voted for the EFF's Tebogo Babuile as the executive mayor.
