SIU fingers 27 suppliers that provided Free State health dept with incorrect surgical gowns

A report by the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) found evidence of fraud committed by more than 20 suppliers that provided the Free State health department with the incorrect surgical gowns.

The allegation was first brought to the SIU's attention by the chief director of asset and liability management in the province, Tshepo Mabilo, in September 2020.
