- Other staff members in contact with the infected individual were asked to stay home and self-quarantine.

Popular KwaZulu-Natal butchery, Bluff Meat Supply, has temporarily shut its Victoria Street branch in Pietermaritzburg after a staff member contracted Covid-19.
"We are saddened to inform you that our store in Victoria Road, PMB has been impacted by an employee who tested positive for Covid-19. In keeping with guidelines from the Department of Health, the store will be closed until further notice," said the meat supply group.
A statement from group retail director Calvin Robinson said the staff member had been isolated and was receiving medical attention.
"All other staff members that were working in proximity with the affected staff member have been temporarily asked to stay home and practice self-quarantine as per the Department of Health guidelines in curbing the spread."
Robinson said staff members not in contact with the individual were being continuously screened for symptoms.
"We have temporarily closed the affected store and arranged for a professional decontamination company to perform deep cleaning and disinfecting of the entire store, including all staff amenities."
He further asked customers who were in the store in the past seven days to monitor their health.
"Should symptoms arise, please undertake the necessary actions to get tested."
Several larger retailers, including Dis-Chem, Sparkport Pharmacy and Pick n Pay have had to close some of its branches as a result of Covid-19 infections.
News24 reported this week that Covid-19 had spread to schools, with dozens of teachers, pupils and other support staff testing positive in the space of a week.
Premier Sihle Zikalala said cases from last week doubled - with 187 cases in schools, of which 139 are teachers and 37 are pupils.
uMgungundlovu District has seen the most number of teachers infected.
