Alleged Cape Town underworld figure Nafiz Modack is accused of being the common thread in 62 racketeering charges between October 2019 and September 2020.

The lengthy indictment released after his appearance in the heavily guarded Blue Downs Regional Court on Friday alleges that he managed an enterprise that worked with gangsters.

He is accused of the murder of Anti-Gang Unit (AGU) detective Charl Kinnear, along with Zane Kilian and alleged money launderer Ricardo Morgan.
