Stellenbosch University's revised language policy draws sharp criticism

Civil organisations, including political parties, have started petitioning Stellenbosch University (SU) to reverse its decision to change its primary language of instruction from Afrikaans to English.

DA constituency head in Stellenbosch Leon Schreiber said the party will submit the petition and comments, together with a list of all persons who support it, directly to the university.
