The Ingonyama Trust denies R41 million 'siphoned off' – and blames govt for not giving it enough cash

The chairperson of the Ingonyama Trust Board denied allegations that funds were illegally siphoned off, and blamed the government for "constraints" in the Trust's ability to execute its duties.

The Ingonyama Trust is a corporate entity established in 1994 at the insistence of Inkatha Freedom Party founder and prime minister to the AmaZulu nation and monarch, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi.

It was part of his demand for special recognition of the AmaZulu Royal household.
