President Cyril Ramaphosa says South Africa is in a position to lift most regulations, but the country is not out of the woods yet with regard to the fight against Covid-19.

On Wednesday, Ramaphosa addressed the nation and said it was time for the country to prepare for the "new normal", which will see most of the economy opening up under lockdown Level 1.

Level 1 will commence at midnight on Sunday.
