The Northern Cape hopes that the slight decrease in new Covid-19 cases the province is recording is the start of a downward trend.

Covid-19 had badly battered the province in the past few weeks. It's also one of four provinces currently facing the third wave of the pandemic.

Speaking during a media briefing on Wednesday, acting head of the province's health department Riaan Strydom, said they had seen a decrease in the number of cases over the past seven days.
