The South African Weather Service issued extremely high fire danger warnings for the Khai-Ma, Hantam, Kareeberg, Dawid Kruiper, Tsantsabane and Kai! Garib local municipalities of the Northern Cape, as well as Matzikama in the Western Cape.

Extremely hot and dry conditions will occur over the interior of the West Coast District of the Western Cape.

The weather in your region:

Gauteng will be partly cloudy and warm, with scattered showers and thundershowers.

The expected UVB sunburn index is moderate.

It will be scorching in places over the Lowveld, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm, with scattered showers and thundershowers in Mpumalanga.

There will be isolated showers in the east.

Partly cloudy and warm conditions, with isolated showers and thundershowers, will occur in Limpopo

Scattered showers will occur in parts of the west.

The North West will be cloudy to partly cloudy and warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers.

There will be scattered showers in the east.

It will be fine in the west of the Free State at first, otherwise cloudy to partly cloudy and warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers.

The east of the province will experience scattered showers.

Morning fog patches will occur along the Northern Cape coast, where it will be cloudy at first.

Other parts of the province will be partly cloudy and warm to hot.

Scorching temperatures are expected in the central and eastern parts, where isolated showers and thundershowers are expected.

The wind along the coast will be light and variable until late morning, becoming moderate to fresh south-westerly until the evening, where it will be light northerly to north-westerly.

The south coast of the Western Cape will be partly cloudy and experience morning fog.

Otherwise, it will be fine and warm to hot, but scorching over the west coast interior and Central Karoo.

The wind along the coast will be light and variable north of Table Bay until midday, becoming moderate to fresh south-westerly.

Towards the end of the day, it will become north-westerly, otherwise fresh to strong south-easterly.

The expected UVB sunburn index is extreme.

The western half of the Eastern Cape will be fine in places in the north, otherwise partly cloudy and hot.

It will be cloudy and warm in places along the coast, with light rain expected east of St Francis.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly.

The east of the province will be partly cloudy and warm to hot, becoming cloudy, with isolated showers and thundershowers.

The wind along the coast will be moderate south-easterly.

KwaZulu-Natal will experience morning fog patches, otherwise it will be partly cloudy and warm, with scattered showers and thundershowers.

There will be isolated showers in the north-east.

The wind along the coast will be moderate easterly to north-easterly.

The expected UVB sunburn index is extreme.
